Good times fishing on Pittsburg, NH’s outer ponds this weekend – lots of action at Round Pond yesterday, and Coon Brook Bog was good too. It’s not rocket science with our eager brook trout right now: Adams and Yellow Hornbergs worked great, and “on the strip” no less!
Nothing of size yesterday for me at Round Pond, but there are reports of much larger lunkers in there, so that should be investigated. Cindy and Jon are checking out our boats in some of the other locations today, so we’ll know more about those spots soon.
The Connecticut River in Pittsburg continued to be slow for our guests yesterday, but there have been encouraging reports on the angling south of here. If you’re on your way up, or headed home from Pittsburg, check out the likely spots and you may be pleasantly surprised with New England’s longest river. We expect stocking of the Trophy Stretch this week in anticipation of next weekend.
Sounds like the Connecticut Lakes were pretty good this weekend. Lake Francis was particularly good for some of our guests trolling hardware, and there are reports from First Connecticut Lake that the lakers there have been on “the bite” this week. Third Connecticut Lake was recently stocked with rainbows too, so there’s lots of options on the lakes right now.
We have some Lodging Specials this week, so give us a call at 1-800-835-6343 if you can make it up to cast a line.
