It’s that time of the fishing season, where you might be tying up your proven fly patterns, planning your next fishing excursion, or dreaming of hooking an acrobatic salmon or bully of a brown on a glorious summer day.
While it seems like fishing season is a distant memory, it is really just around the corner. The official opening of the fishing season on the Connecticut River may be in a couple of weeks, but we’re really five months away in northern New Hampshire, and this just might be the perfect time to talk fishing, or plan your next trip to our neck of the woods.
To this end, lots of tall tales and bull will be slung carelessly at our show booth at The Fly Fishing Show in Marlborough, MA (January 5 – 7) and we would love to have you join us for a bit.
Talk about your favorite spots on the river (don’t give us too much information), tell us about the big one that may or may not have gotten away, or just set up your next guide trip. We’ll also have information on our two Tall Timber Fly Fishing Schools that we’re offering this summer as well, but for the most part, we all just like to talk … a lot.
The Fly Fishing Show starts on Friday (opens 10 AM – 6 PM) and then continues on Saturday (9 AM – 5:30 PM) and Sunday (9 AM – 4:30 PM).
Lots of the best equipment from the biggest manufacturers, and informative seminars on places you’ve always wanted to fish too. Don’t forget the fly tiers showing us all how they tie their most effective patterns – it all shapes up to be a great weekend.
