In just a few weeks, Tall Timber will be an exhibitor at The Fly Fishing Show in Marlborough, MA the weekend of January 18 – 20.  We hope to see lots of familiar faces and many new ones too – if you’re already a guest, please stop by the booth and say “Hi”, and bring along a fishing friend that hasn’t yet discovered the beauty of the Connecticut Lakes Region.

There’ll be lots of stuff going on at the show – demonstrations, exhibits and instruction, focusing on all of the great fishing we have in the Northeast.

Old Man River (our guide emeritus Jon Howe) will be manning the booth for us at the show, so we’ll try to keep him focused on the task at hand, instead of ruminating on some of his exploits in Montana.  The picture above is of Jon with a particularly healthy Missouri River rainbow that he caught and released this fall. Keeping him focused is easier said than done …

On the Connecticut River fishing front, our season opens January 1, so we’re very close now, but the weather is much different so far than last year. Colder and snowier this winter compared to last, so getting out there might be a challenge. Once again, watch the weather and pick your window carefully – give us a call at 1-800-835-6343 if you can break away to cast a line and need a place to lay your head!
