Boundary Pond Update

Sorry it’s been so long between updates, but that thing called “life” caught up with me the last couple of weeks, and boy can it get in the way of my fishing addiction.

Staining the house (which was long overdue) and running the hounds in preparation for grouse season (a mere 71 days away, but who’s counting …) has taken it’s toll on my casting form. However, yesterday I was able to catch a couple brookies in one of the outer ponds (use a damsel fly if you’re fishing any of the outer ponds in the next couple of weeks), and also get back to Boundary Pond to check on the progress on the new dam up there.

Good Times at Boundary Pond Aren’t Too Far Away Now!

Boundary was beautiful as usual, but with only about half the water in it. Surprisingly, there were still a few trout working the surface, even in the midday sun, but we were there to check out the new dam. It’s quite a structure and the whole project looks to be over half done now, but they’ll probably be at it until October from what we’ve heard.

It sure was nice to see it again and I can’t wait for next year to catch some of the most beautiful brook trout the north country has to offer.
