Lots of good news on the outer brook trout pond front – several of them have been fishing really well, with some good sized fish to boot.

Back Lake Fishing Update: 6/19

Not too much to report on the Back Lake Hexagenia hatch yet – looks like we’re headed toward some time next week for a true “start”, which is normal for the hatch. Lake temperatures (and daytime temps) have been on the colder side lately, perhaps stalling the start of the hatch.

Back Lake Fishing Report: 6/14

That’s a nice largemouth bass that one of our fishermen caught yesterday – one of many from what they said upon returning to the dock. Olive rubber worms were the big hit yesterday for the bass, so if you know how to fish for these eating machines, you could have a good time on Back Lake.

Ice Out at Back Lake

The ice peacefully went out today at Back Lake, and Lake Francis and First Connecticut Lake are close behind – expect them to be out this weekend.

Upper Connecticut River Fishing Report: 9/28

Fantastic weather in New Hampshire’s north country lately, just in time for enjoying some fall fishing. We’ve had some alternating river flows this weekend, but it looks like the river will have some steady flows this week.

That brown trout was caught and released by our guide Dave Poole on his day off – his compatriot Angus Boezeman took that nice picture of the release.
