In response to some of the comments from my latest post, this is further proof that perhaps the chub needs to be considered as a prized game fish. The one in this picture was much sought after by our good friend Denis Faye with his bamboo rod no less …

Denis… If you keep this up, we will be forced to ask the Emperor of all Fishes to relinquish his crown and sash so that you can be named the new Emperor…

Mary –
The Emperor of All Fishes has an asterisk, in which he acknowledges that I am the Emperor of all Chubs. His loss, my gain.

Yah, Mary- Denis is definitly the Chubb King and don’t forget that!!! After years of guiding him I still see that twinkle in his eye as a Chubb nears the boat to be netted!!

Wow Chub on classic bamboo fly rods – someone should make a submission to Gray’s Sporting Journal!
Did Jon spot this one breaching?
Would the Trout Recipe that includes green peppers / onions / cheese / pepperoni – work for the delectable Chub?

I have witnessed the Jon/Denis Chub-fest many times. Once those boys get hot on the trail of Chub all the trout in the river are safe. It is quite a predatory display!!!
