The weather conditions were tough for the Fly Fishing School instructors and the seven students but they gave it their best. They hit the river very early this morning and it was worth crawling out of a comfy warm bed to hook, land and release a few nice trout.

Dave Austin with a fish on, with guide Dave Poole alongside with the net ready.

Loree Pike looked like a pro reeling in several nice trout.

Justin Webber has always been a  saltwater angler and now is hooked on freshwater too, landing several nice trout.

Our next Fly Fishing School is scheduled for July 6,7 & 8. This school is geared more for the intermediate fly fisher who wants to take their fly fishing skills to the next level. If you’re interested, please give us a call.

The Connecticut River has been fishing very well.   Salmon can now be found throughout the Trophy Stretch and there are some very nice brookies too.
