Cindy’s been unpacking our latest arrival of flies for the new season and stuffing our big fly box in the Gift Shop, for you, our esteemed customers. This latest batch were tied beautifully by famous NH fly tyer Ellis Hatch. Ellis does some fancy tying, and not only are his flies works of art in themselves, but they’re deadly on the trout and salmon as well. He is a true NH legend and we’re happy to have him on board as one of our fly suppliers.
Pictured are some pretty good patterns for our area: Gray and White Soft Hackle Streamers (top right), the Wood Special (bottom right), the Hatching Pupa (bottom left) and Yellow and Teal Hornbergs (top left and center).
You’ll be able to see them up close and personal in a few weeks …

it actually went the other way today Greg – it actually looks like it iced in a little more today. I think we’re still looking at about a week away right now …

That’s what I was seeing in my neck of the woods as well in the Littleton area. Although the larger lakes and ponds are open, they iced up a bit around the edges and some of the small ponds actually iced over again!
