If you’re a frequent visitor to this blog, you’re probably already a seasoned fisherman (or woman) who needs little in the way of advice on tips and techniques … right?

But if you know someone that has always wanted to take up the beautiful art of fly fishing, let them know that our fly fishing schools will once again be taking place this June and July.

June 1 – 3 is the Beginners Fly Fishing School, with the basics of insect identification, knots, equipment review, casting and wading on the menu. Time on the Trophy Stretch of the Connecticut River is a major component of this weekend as well.

July 13 – 15 is the Intermediate Fly Fishing School, or Stream Tactics and Techniques, where more advanced methods of fly fishing are explored by the class. This class is predominantly held in the best classroom we have: the Connecticut River. While various forms of fly fishing will be discussed, the primary focus will be on dry fly fishing, as this is prime time for our hatches on the river.

Broadside’s team of Angus Boezeman and Alan Erdossy will be whipping the students in to shape on these weekends, something that they’ve been doing here for nearly twenty years.

Give us a call at 1-800-835-6343 if you have questions or would like to book a spot in one of the schools.

E-mail me at tom@talltimber.com if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you on the water this summer!
