There is fishing going on somewhere … unfortunately, it was all the way over in Montana. The Bride took pictures of her man OMR from their trip to the Missouri River (the Mighty Mo) in October. Having returned, they are just like the rest of us – longing for a salmon run, the hex hatch, or even a, yes I said it, a bass to strike!
There has got to be laws against this on the books (taunting a fisherman who’s season has closed already with pictures of good fishing still taking place).
There are still some flyfishing only, catch and release stretches of various Vermont rivers open right now, until the Connecticut River opens on January 1 again. But, you know how that goes – cold and often windy November and December fishing is usually not too productive for trout, but it sure does help us pass the time until spring …

Look at that smug look on Jon’s face. Just like the look he gives me when Karen outfishes me. Stay weel all of you up there.

thanks for picking up on that too Ken – Jon is very smug, most of the time as a matter of fact.
Hope you have that pup trained for fishing by next May (or sooner)!
