Short and sweet one about dads – it’s his day today, so whether they’re with you or not, wish them a good one and spend some quality time together today.
That’s my father’s boat that we got back from the fiberglass body shop this week (it badly needed some TLC) and we promptly put it in Back Lake.
My wife and I were fortunate to take out the “Tony C” last night and while the fishing was a bit slow for us (Karen did catch a beautiful rainbow), my memories of fishing with my dad, granddad, brothers and uncle on Back Lake long ago were fresh in my mind.
We had many great days back then and I’m thankful for them.

Nice entry, Tom. It’s a perfect time to remember our dads. Those were good times, not to be forgotten.

I fondly remember my first encounter with Tony. He showed me where all the coffee supplies were kept and invited me to help myself. I think the greatest gift you Carons could give your Dad on Father’s Day is the job that you have done at TTL. He would be very proud.

Thanks Ken – that is one of many great memories that our long time guests have of our dad. He was always there to help you if you needed it, or just shoot the bull sipping a beverage. He loved the lodge and the guests too. We’re just trying to keep the lodge the way it was, as much as we can.

Great post, Tom. Family, friends and shared experiences: that’s what causes happiness.
