It’s a beautiful day to fish in Pittsburg today. Mostly sunny, dry, and a cool 70 degrees. It almost feels a little like a September day. It should be a great evening tonight on the water for “Last Bite”.

The “Trophy Stretch” is fishing well, and the water flow is at 145CFS. Nice & Easy flow. I did well with caddis, and Jon picked up several rainbows  in the 12 inch range fishing and Olive Klinkhammer.

Salmon takes the KlinkhammerWe fished south of Pittsburg Village, and there were a few rising fish, and caddis and sulphers in the air. Jon stayed with his Olive Klinkhammer which was a wise decision. He landed this gorgeous brown and a nice salmon too.  Water flow out of Murphy Dam is also very good at 377CFS.

The weather forecast is looking  pretty good for this weekend.  It’s a great time to be here fishing the beautiful Connecticut River.
