It’s a beautiful day to fish in Pittsburg today. Mostly sunny, dry, and a cool 70 degrees. It almost feels a little like a September day. It should be a great evening tonight on the water for “Last Bite”.
The “Trophy Stretch” is fishing well, and the water flow is at 145CFS. Nice & Easy flow. I did well with caddis, and Jon picked up several rainbows in the 12 inch range fishing and Olive Klinkhammer.
We fished south of Pittsburg Village, and there were a few rising fish, and caddis and sulphers in the air. Jon stayed with his Olive Klinkhammer which was a wise decision. He landed this gorgeous brown and a nice salmon too. Water flow out of Murphy Dam is also very good at 377CFS.
The weather forecast is looking pretty good for this weekend. It’s a great time to be here fishing the beautiful Connecticut River.
