Less than a month left of the season. It’s hard to believe it’s almost over. I didn’t get to fish as much as I usually do this season but when I did, it was good.

The fishing this week and weekend proved to be good for many of our guests fishing the river. I heard there are a few salmon to be had at First Lake inlet too. The flow out of Second Lake dam should get the fall salmon run going. The No Kill and the Trophy both fished well, and Tom did well south of West Stewartstown. The top flies are still egg patterns, worms and streamers.

Eggs - they're good for you
Hot Flies

Egg Patterns: Globug, Micro Spawn, Sucker Spawn and Scrambled Egg in various colors like Steelhead Orange, Oregon Cheese and Pink.

Worms: the Goomie (my personal favorite), and the San Juan Worm in Red and Pink.

Streamers: Gray Soft Hackle Streamer, Black Ghost, Gray Ghost and buggers.

The foliage is looking really beautiful, especially around Back Lake, and the weather feels a lot like fall as well. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year.

Fishing, Foliage and Football!!!

I hope you get to wet a line before it’s too late. We have openings this week, so give us a call and we’ll hook you up.
