Griffin Nyhan provided the latest example of “you don’t have to be an old guy to fish the Trophy Stretch well” this past weekend. He and his dad Chip were up here a few days ago and had a great time on the challenging Trophy Stretch. It’s ripping right now – a very healthy 500 CFS as of this moment, so Chip and Griffin earned every fish they brought to the net when they were here. Some very nice brookies, rainbows and salmon fell victim to their favorite set up for the weekend: heavy golden stone with either a bh prince or soft hackle emerger as droppers. The salmon seemed to prefer the stone, while the trout were more keen on the dropper.

Nice picture Dad! Is Griffin the "mysterious headless fisherman?"

The best part is that it was Griffin’s first true exposure to fishing Pittsburg, so hopefully he’ll be a fixture on the Trophy for a very long time to come. Move over Grandpa Dan – you’ve got competition!
