Much like the life cycle of the insects that we try to imitate when we’re fishing, the women begin the weekend perhaps a bit apprehensive, unsure of how this is all going to go (nymph stage), then slowly gain confidence as they relate to each other (emerger stage). By the end of the weekend, they are truly flying, having blossomed in to the graceful mayflies that they are, and lots of friendships and life long bonds are formed on these retreats.
Did I mention that they also caught fish – lots of ’em. They had a blast on the river with their River Helpers guiding them along the way. BWOs, soft hackles of various shapes and sizes, and beadheads did the trick most often. The weather held off just long enough yesterday, and we look forward to having C.F.R. with us again next year.

My CFR staff and I would like to thank everyone at the Tall Timber Lodge and the Rainbow Grille for the continued support we receive from everyone there. It’s because of everyone at your lodge & the help of the great River Helpers that our CFR participants are able to transform themselves into beautiful mayflies.
