Angling opportunities range from casting on a remote pond to trolling Back Lake or wading the streams or upper Connecticut River. With the abundance of lakes, ponds and streams, you’ll be able to fish new water each day. Pittsburg is strictly a cold water fishery containing brook, brown and rainbow trout, lake trout and landlocked salmon, satisfying the fly fisherman and spin fisherman alike. Throughout the season and even in the heat of August, you’ll find phenomenal fly fishing due to a bottom release dam that provides clear, cold water all season.
