Back Lake Fishing Update: 6/19

Not too much to report on the Back Lake Hexagenia hatch yet – looks like we’re headed toward some time next week for a true “start”, which is normal for the hatch. Lake temperatures (and daytime temps) have been on the colder side lately, perhaps stalling the start of the hatch.

Back Lake Fishing Report: 6/14

That’s a nice largemouth bass that one of our fishermen caught yesterday – one of many from what they said upon returning to the dock. Olive rubber worms were the big hit yesterday for the bass, so if you know how to fish for these eating machines, you could have a good time on Back Lake.

Upper Connecticut River Fishing Report: 6/3

Early days of June are usually good ones on the Upper Connecticut River in Pittsburg, NH, and this has generally been the case this week. Copious amounts of rain from Sunday through Tuesday brought the lake levels up, requiring slightly higher river flows out of the dams.

Upper Connecticut River Fishing Update: 5/29

That’s our Jon, with a nice one on in the Connecticut River’s Trophy Stretch – the Goomie Worm was the ticket for the rainbow that he landed. There were also some brook trout caught in this area as well, so there’s good fishing to be had … where are you this weekend?
