With the overcast sky and light rain, there were BWOs and a few Hendricksons coming off at both inlets and a few fish were rising. You still had to work for them but between OMR and I, we picked up a dozen Salmon and I got two Lake Trout at 1st lake Inlet in the morning on a Conehead Bow River Bugger.

We saw lots of people hooking up and landing fish. Water temp at both 1st Inlet and Lake Francis was 50 degrees. After lunch we stopped at the Logging Bridge to see what was shaking and there were lots of Blue Wings coming off but no rising fish. Water temp. 48 degrees.

Jon did well with drys, Parachute Adams and a CDC Baetis. For me, it was a Tung Head Pheasant Tail and the Bow River Bugger.

For the pond fishermen, Coon Brook Bog is fishing well and the gates have been opened to Scott Bog, East Inlet, and Boundary Pond.  Back Lake is still fishing great!

The weather for the weekend is looking good.  I guess if I was coming to Pittsburg this weekend I would hit 1st Lake Inlet, Coon Brook Bog and Back Lake. Tom said the  fish were rising tonight right in front of the lodge and the sunset was beautiful.  “Red at night, sailors delight”.
