It’s finally here everybody … the first solar eclipse since 1979, and people are excited about it. It will happen somewhere around 1:30 PM today and it looks like our weather will cooperate. Sunny, clear sky today, and while we won’t have full totality, it should be cool nonetheless …
That’s Tall Timber guest Jack Krisko posing with a bruising Trophy Stretch brook trout yesterday, under the guidance of our own Mickey Cunliffe. They had quite an afternoon nymphing the Connecticut River yesterday, catching several fish in the class above, and quite a few smaller fish as well.
Abnormally awesome weather weekend in the north country didn’t materialize in to many trout for the Green Mountain Project Healing Waters veterans that we hosted. This brown trout was the exception – 20″ and very healthy and swimming the depths again today.
Is there anything more beautiful that a brook trout in spawning colors? I didn’t think so.
