Trophy Stretch Salmon

Yes, there’s some salmon in the Trophy Stretch right now, and long time TTL guest Jesse Dupere had a battle with this energetic silver bullet this morning. A Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail brought this one to justice, and Jesse let him off to roam the river again.

You’ve heard that maxim that “a broken clock is right twice a day”? That was the case yesterday on our drift down the Connecticut River with Chuck Degray of North Country Fly Shop & Guide Service, as we managed to hook and land two beautiful brown trout, among a myriad of other fish.

That’s Tall Timber guest Jack Krisko posing with a bruising Trophy Stretch brook trout yesterday, under the guidance of our own Mickey Cunliffe. They had quite an afternoon nymphing the Connecticut River yesterday, catching several fish in the class above, and quite a few smaller fish as well.
