Fly Fishing NH's Connecticut Lakes Region

Month: May 2017

They’re back …

Looks like the annual “running of the salmon” is upon us in the Connecticut River between Second Connecticut Lake and First Connecticut Lake, at long last. It began sometime this past weekend, and it looks like we should have good salmon fishing for a couple of weeks, if mother nature cooperates.

The River Wild

The normally placid Bridge Pool on the Connecticut River’s “Trophy Stretch” was anything but calm this afternoon.

Happy May Day everybody. With all of the protests around the world and country, we thought we might have one up here in Pittsburg, NH today.

“WE’RE SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THIS WATER!”
