Dog Is My Co-Pilot

Monty came along tonight for an evening of fishing on Back Lake, and while he isn’t the best at dropping the anchor when needed or netting a fish when it’s hauled close to the boat, he is amazingly adept at spotting rising fish, and whining incessantly when my casts are inadequate.

Upper Connecticut River Fishing Report: 7/2

The beat goes on up here on the Upper Connecticut River’s “Trophy Stretch” – lots of trout and salmon are present in the stretch right now, but that doesn’t mean that they have necessarily been easy to catch.

Those are two beautiful brook trout that Jo Tango and his daughter caught and released yesterday.
