Those of you that regularly come to this page are already in to fishing, and the majority of you are probably experienced fly fishers. First day out there on the Connecticut River today, with some pretty tough conditions. Driving rain and even a little wind made it challenging, and kept the “bite” down.
-27 last night in Pittsburg, NH – not quite the type of weather we need to get the fix for our fishing addiction. Help is on the way though, with temps getting to “fishable” levels maybe a couple of days this week.
After much consideration and careful research by our “Winter Blues” Committee, it was decided that our posts on the “Bronze Prince of the Androscoggin” proved to be the most popular with our dedicated readers in 2013. Without a doubt, these posts elicited a wide range of responses, and apparently struck some nerves among our fishing brethren.

Yes, it’s nearly that time of year again when us northerners go down to Marlborough, MA in search of new clients for the lodge and also to meet up with our fishing friends from far and wide. This year’s Fly Fishing Show will be held in Marlborough on the weekend of January 17 – 19 and we hope to see you there!
