Fly Fishing NH's Connecticut Lakes Region

Day: August 22, 2010

Same old, same old…

The only change is water flows. The Trophy is up to 199 CFS, (still a good flow and might bring up some salmon) and the No-Kill is 220CFS.  It looks like they are lowering the lakes for spring run off. Murphy is still at 350 CFS.

Jon’s guide clients have been doing well, wading or drifting.  On the Trophy it’s been the same, Elk Hair Caddis, BWO, Nymphs, and Streamers.  Jon did a drift with Tom and a guest, Mickey Cunliff, and Tom put on a Skwala Nymph, and that was the fly. They hammered em. Crazy!

Back Lake is still producing. The kids are having a blast with the bass. Lots of action and that keeps the kids happy.

The leaves are changing color more and more every day. Fall is right around the corner.
