It is prime fishing up here right now. Salmon and trout are heading up into the Connecticut River for the fall spawn, and the Connecticut River from the No-Kill all the way past Murphy Dam is fishing well.

Streamers:  Smelt patterns like the Soft Hackle Streamer in Gray, Yellow or White, Marabou Red Gray Ghost, Black Ghost. Yellow Zoo Cougars too.

Nymphs: TH Pheasant Tail with a Hatching Pupa dropper or an egg.

For you big lake fishermen, I’ve heard the salmon fishing is great on First Lake and Lake Francis The salmon are on top and hitting smelt patterns. There are only 6 days left of fishing on the big lakes. September 30th is the last day.

The ponds are also doing well. If you haven’t seen the dam on Boundary Pond you might want to get up there to do a little brook trout fishing.  Boundary is such a beautiful spot and the drive out there will be spectacular with the foliage. Our foliage is at peak. Stunning! Coon Brook Bog has been fishing well also.

Back Lake has been giving up some nice rainbows. It’s been tough to be our there as of late with the wind and white caps. Good drifting weather.

We have openings for this weekend if you are so inclined to have a nice relaxing weekend fishing our neck of the woods – just give us a call at 1-800-835-6343!

We also have some great Last Minute Specials on tap for the weekend, so get up here before it’s over!
