Cindy took this picture the other morning after the cool night weather we just had triggered some more hexes to come off, and our resident smallmouth bass gorged themselves in to oblivion again.
The trout on Back Lake and many of the outer ponds are lying low right now, until the water temps drop again. “The drop” usually happens up here in late August, making for some excellent fall trout fishing, just in time to wet our appetitie for the long offseason.
