Trophy Stretch Salmon

Yes, there’s some salmon in the Trophy Stretch right now, and long time TTL guest Jesse Dupere had a battle with this energetic silver bullet this morning. A Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail brought this one to justice, and Jesse let him off to roam the river again.

It hasn’t been easy out there the last couple of days, as it appears as though the trout and salmon have generally “wised up” to the game. Lots of traffic on the Trophy Stretch at times has made for some wary fish.

More nice weather tomorrow, followed by some unsettled weather coming in on Friday – perfect BWO conditions, in other words!

Don’t give up – keep trying and be patient. But still be willing to change flies as often as it takes!
