Yup – those are some big brown trout, caught and released last week on the Connecticut River in Pittsburg, NH.
Josh Johnston caught his 30″ behemoth on what Chuck DeGray of North Country Fly Shop affectionately described as “junk” – that means it’s big and feathery.
Jimmy Halkiotis caught his 22″ brown on nymphs of some kind (probably ridiculously small, for such a large fish) – he didn’t go too much farther in depth than that, and we’re too smart to ask too many questions.
