Upper Connecticut River Fishing Report: 6/27

Upper Connecticut River Fly Choice: Caddis Emerger

Nymphing has always been a great way to catch lots of trout and salmon on the Upper Connecticut River in Pittsburg, N.H. This is particularly true when the water flow is higher than normal, as it is now on the Trophy Stretch – and it’s raining again today as I write this!

Back Lake Fishing Update: 6/19

Not too much to report on the Back Lake Hexagenia hatch yet – looks like we’re headed toward some time next week for a true “start”, which is normal for the hatch. Lake temperatures (and daytime temps) have been on the colder side lately, perhaps stalling the start of the hatch.

Back Lake Fishing Report: 6/14
