A frosty stroll along the lower section of the Connecticut River’s “Trophy Stretch” in Pittsburg brought me to the scene of several memorable fish caught and released over the years, as well as several that were regrettably lost. That’s “Skaters Pool” above.
Fishing season really isn’t that far away, but when it’s -5 outside, it’s hard to convince yourself that it’s commencement is near.
Sorry folks, no fish to see, even though I looked hard – just many deer tracks, as this area is an important yard for the local deer herd.
Even colder weather coming this weekend, so winter is still in full swing here, and probably where you live too …
