It’s A Cold One!
Your fly line doesn’t exactly “flow” out of the guides on days like this … currently -7, and it was -25 earlier this morning. With the windchill, it is something like -30 to exposed skin.

Thanks everybody for visiting with us for a while this weekend at The Fly Fishing Show in Marlboro. We had a great time introducing Pittsburg and Tall Timber to some new folks and catching up with many of our tried and true TTL veterans.
Lots of “tall tales” will probably be getting told this weekend at Tall Timber’s booth at the Marlborough, MA edition of The Fly Fishing Show. Please stop in if you’re in Marlborough, as we’ll have Jon, Angus, Dave and Tom spinning many yarns about the fishing options in Pittsburg, NH.
Here’s the first of a series of short vids we hope to make this year, when time and the schedule permits. This was the maiden voyage with the chest mounted Go Pro Hero, so be advised, the camera was not centered on my chest (which I thought it was).
First day out there for the 2013 Connecticut River fishing season (it has been too darn cold so far!) and it was worth it. Lots of water, lots of dead smelt on the shoreline, and even a curious brown trout made the first outing complete.
