Tall Timber's 2013 Guide Services

Guests of Tall Timber are advised to inquire about the availability of our resident fly fishing and hunting guides,  Dave Poole, Angus Boezeman, Tom Caron and Chuck Caron. If it is not possible to secure the services of Dave, Angus, Tom or Chuck, we strongly recommend any of the guides in the "Outside Services" list below. They all carry an abundance of knowledge and experience in fly fishing and hunting our area.

Specializing in wading and drift trips on the "Trophy Stretch" of the Connecticut River, Dave Poole brings years of fly fishing experience in northern New Hampshire to our lodge guests.

Dave is currently President of the NH Guides Association and has years of experience fishing in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region as well.

Broadside International

Angus Boezeman of Broadside International brings decades of experience fishing Pittsburg's waters to our guests at Tall Timber. It is the "Trophy Stretch" that Angus calls home, and he specializes in wading trips for experienced anglers and beginners alike.

 Angus has taught our Tall Timber Fly Fishing Schools for nearly twenty years, and is a high ranking member in the NH Guides Association and the Basil Woods Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Upland & Big Game

Upland Bird Hunting

This October, chase the elusive ruffed grouse and woodcock with Tom and his German Shorthaired Pointers Greta, Rudy and Monty. Tom has hunted grouse and woodcock in northern New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont for over twenty years.

In addition to hunting NH and VT, Greta and Rudy's credentials include pursuing wild pheasants, sharp tails and sage grouse in Montana.  Greta (Prize II, 107 points), Rudy (Prize I, 112 points) and Monty (Prize II, 107 points) completed N.A.V.H.D.A.'s Natural Ability test and are eager to get out there this fall.

Big Game Hunting

Successful NH black bear hunt
This fall, Chuck will guide clients for bears only. In addition to the hunt, Chuck's services for the bear season will include scouting, removal of the animal from the woods, and preparation for shipment home.

In addition to Chuck, Ken Dionne's many years of experience in Pittsburg's woods will come in handy for those looking for hunting guidance.  Ken will be taking clients out for the moose season this year. Those interested in Chuck and Ken's services are welcome to call the lodge for more information.
